CCC Champions!

The 2022 season was a huge success. The 2022 team became the first Simsbury team to win a Central Connecticut Conference Championship. The team went 12-4 with a very challenging schedule and made the playoffs for the second year in a row. Unfortunately, the team played to a tough one goal loss in a tough first round match up with Daniel Hand. The 2022 team had 3 First Team All-State players in Katie Perlitz, Elena Bontatibus and Reece Willison and 5 all conference players in Mackenzie Chapman, Katie Perlitz, Elena Bontatibus, Brynn Bailey-Gates and Reece Willison. We had 2 US Lacrosse All-Academic players in Sarah and Katie Perlitz, as well. Some additional highlights on the season were wins over Conard and Glastonbury, having 3 freshman play varsity in Sofia Smith, Alex Loo and Charlie Reitz and Elena Bontatibus scoring her 100th career goal during the season. Defensively the team was outstanding in 2022 only allowing 3 teams to score 10 or more goals. The offensive unit was another strong group with every player on the offense side of the ball scoring at least 1 goal. Our captains for the 2022 team were Katie Perlitz, Kaitlyn O’Brien, McKena Pennington and Mackenzie Chapman.
