2025 Team wins first ever Simsbury CIAC Championship

The 2025 season ended with the girls’ lacrosse team winning Simsbury High’s first-ever girls lacrosse CIAC championship. The team went 18-3 with a 14-2 regular season record. Simsbury played in the CCC conference championship again in 2025 and was a runner-up, losing to Conard. The team played in Class L and was ranked 1st in Class L by the end of the season. The team played Farmington in the quarterfinals, Masuk in the semi-finals, and Cheshire in the State Championship, winning 12-4 in the finals. Simsbury outscored their three opponents in the playoffs 37-10. The team had 6 All-Conference players and 6 First Team All-State players: Charlie Reitz(d), Alex Loo(a), Maddie Francis(a), Ellie Kirk(d), Anna Stockwell(m) and Charlotte Diviney(m). The team had 10 returning starters from the year before, but only 3 seniors. The team had several players pass some personal milestones, with Charlie Reitz becoming the 8th player in Simsbury history to be named All-Conference 3 times. Alex Loo, Maddie Francis and Anna Stockwell all passed 100 career points. Charlotte Diviney surpassed 200 points. Defensively, the team was outstanding in 2025, allowing only 2 teams to score 10 or more goals in the regular season and only allowing 84 goals in 16 regular-season games, which is the best all-time. The offensive unit was another strong group with 13 players registering at least 1 point on the offensive side of the ball. The offensive unit scored 221 goals in 16 regular-season games. Our captains for the 2025 team were Sam Barnes, Charlie Reitz, Alex Loo and Anna Stockwell.
